THE 60

I had the amazing opportunity to be a part of the hilarious rom-com called The Sixty Yard Line. If you’ve been following my Insta Stories and Snapchat you already got a little behind the scenes of the premiere (jodikayedwards). This was a film that I worked on a few years ago and the cast and crew are so grateful to see that it made it to the big screen. *squeals. There was a cow in the movie and she came dressed to impress in a little top hat with green and gold glitter! She rocked that red (green) carpet!

Acting has been one hell of a journey. I’ve been working on a few television shows here and there and have been a part of a lot of different projects, but I’ve been focusing my energy lately towards taking it one step further. If you’ve taken my How to Avoid Burnout online course, you already heard the personal story I shared when I realized I wanted to first pursue acting. This definitely is one for the books and let me tell you when I say mindset is everything. I was planning on interviewing the producers of The 60 and including a fun little Q&A here, but I never asked, things got hectic etc. but if you head on over to the Instagram account, you’ll be able to see a pretty hilarious re cap of what the tour has been like for them thus far.

The people that created, wrote, shot and acted in this movie all had one thing in common and that was determination. The biggest motivator when someone tells you that you can’t, is to just do it. #notsponsoredbynike. Ryan Churchill, Nick Greco, Leif Gantvoort and Alex McCullough just went for it and made something great. They planned, acted and made it work despite set backs. It’s a pretty inspiring story actually, one that included a community of too many people to list here. Believe, receive, achieve. This is by far the best plan to achieving what you want from life.

I’ve been working with an amazing acting coach Dana Daurey of danadaurey.com. She inspires me to keep going and reminds me of the importance of being my most authentic self, which can be hard in a world where being different isn’t often celebrated. If you’re looking for inpso check out her Instagram page here. I’ve grown so much during these past few months of working with her and I highly recommend booking one of her Skype sessions if you’re not in the LA area.

I’ve been studying the law of attraction a bit more recently. It’s something that has always been in the back of my mind since I was little girl but I didn’t know what to call it back then. I’ve realized that the more in tune I am with my wants and needs, the more I’m able to reach those goals. From being a background extra, to modeling for several news segments, speaking for commercials and radio, I’ve gathered so much life experience. I’m loving the forward momentum (yes even when there are a few setbacks, I learn from them, Dana is helping me with this too!).

A big part of this blog is sharing my life experiences with my readers, Lifestyle Finesse has definitely opened up some doors for me and I am forever grateful for your constant support. My biggest message for todays post is to follow your heart, may sound cliche but it’s true. It never seems to guide you the wrong way, because if you don’t grow from it you learn from it. If you want to try something, try it, you never know where it will guide you. At the end of the day you are the only one held accountable for your happiness, so make the best of your time here on earth.

There is no such thing as failure, it’s simply the universe telling you to try again or try a different approach. This way of thinking has always helped me to keep moving forward. I try not to let rejection get me down, or let fear get in the way of living the life I want to live. I hope you’re currenlty doing the same thing! Happy Monday!
