Sharing this post with you today is going to be a bit personal but it’s a dream come true and I couldn’t be more happy to inspire others to keep dreaming.
Ever since I was a little girl I’ve always dreamed of having a luxurious closet with bright lights and lots of space for my clothes and shoes. My mother was a single parent so we never had much but we made do with what we had, needless to say my dream closet stayed a dream. Even as a young adult the places I lived in were either rentals or were lacking in the space department. As I grew older my style started to change and I really just wanted a space to create, find my happy and keep my calm. I wanted a space to call my own.
Cal and I bought a condo last year and this room was so far from what I had envisioned but I could see it’s potential and started planning. I’ve been dreaming about this moment for years and since we moved here I focused my intention more than ever manifested and brought it to life. It happened little by little but I’m so amazed every time I step into this room because of it’s physical transformation. It reminds me of the transformation that we all go through when wanting change, little by little we can make that happen.
I started by upgrading some furniture pieces (after painting of course), making my own and restoring some old. The only thing that’s not 100% perfect yet is the closet organization, I’m hoping to take out that whole closet section and add some closet organizers later this year. I did a poll on Instagram that had an overwhelming amount of votes for yes, show it anyway! So here it is before it’s completely done. I’m also looking at new floor lighting and can’t decide whether I would like this or this from Arhaus. A little help, which do you think would look better in this space? Arhaus has natural materials and utilizes recycled materials. I love their values and want to continue to fill my space with earth-conscious furniture that doesn’t hurt our forest. You can check out more of their lighting here.
Anyway, I said heck to waiting until it’s “perfect”. I’ve been documenting some small upgrades on my Youtube Channel such as;

Next Cal removed the carpet and installed the flooring himself. He’s such a handyman! It looks phenomenal and I’m so proud of him for accomplishing so much in such little time! The flooring was not expensive at all, I managed to save myself about $400 by shopping around, the white baseboard/trim was reasonable and Cals brother works at a hardware store so I was able to get a great deal on the white open concept door and frame.
I’ve also created an Amazon list for my followers since I’m on Instagram live/stories often and get questions on where I purchase some of my items. My newest addition being this led lit vanity mirror gifted from the seller Makeuplover706. It’s such great quality and the perfect addition to the room! I love that I can do my makeup essentially anywhere. It folds up and fit in my large tote bags. Another popular item seems to be this acrylic nail polish organizer (pictured above). It has forced me to downsize my makeup collection and keep only the colors I wear and love.
The best part about this space is it’s minimal aspect. I love that I use every single piece I have shown here. The layout is light and there is no clutter. I’ve always paid close attention to the type of energy a room provides. If it doesn’t feel right I have to move things around until it does. This rule is applicable to the rest of our space in our home. It’s a work in progress but this is the 2nd room (our bedroom being the 1st) that has achieved this walking on air feel when you enter it.
If you’re a dreamer just like me don’t stop dreaming even when you face setbacks or financial hardships. If you want it you can achieve it.
