Priorities. What are they? What are yours? Do we think about this on a day to day basis anymore or do we just set it and forget it (our goals that is)? On this weeks episode of Alignment is the New Hustle I’m challenging each of my listeners to figure out two things that you are going to make a priority each day. This is the best way to start your day out on the right track. Take a moment to align yourself with your life’s purpose and if you’re not sure what that is yet, start thinking about it.
There’s no better time than the present, and what better way to start living on the right foot than when you first wake up.
Try this little exercise tomorrow morning.
Before you even pick up your phone and start scrolling figure out your two priorities. Think about what it is that you are you trying to achieve for today. What goals have you set for yourself and what two things can you do today to bring you one step closer to that goal. Figuring out your top two priorities each day helps you to focus your energy internally and set your mind straight for all the external images and words that are thrown at us.
I think the number one reason that people have bad days or feel depression setting in is because they focus their energy on other people first instead of themselves. We have full control over that if we just take a few moments every morning to get our priorities straight. All of a sudden that vacation or beach body that you see on social media doesn’t matter as much because you know you’re staying in our own lane and following the path you’ve set out for yourself to reach your end goal.
Ever since I started doing this I find myself happier and more aligned. I don’t know about you, but I get so excited thinking about all the possibilities my future holds and what life will be life once I finally achieve some of the things that I have set out to achieve!
