With Valentine’s Day right around the corner some of us might already be planning what we’ll be wearing on our date night, girls night out or girls night in! Even if you plan on wearing pajamas read on. Since my style changed a few years ago, I’ve replaced the more “feminine” and brightly colored pieces, as well as the crazy patterns with more of a minimalist style. I enjoy black, white and neutral colors so when it comes to Holiday’s and Special Days you’ll find me experimenting more with my makeup than straying from my preferred color scheme.
One of the many things I have learned in my years as a fashion blogger is not to limit yourself when it comes to outfit options and the best way to maximize your closet is to curate a wardrobe with pieces that are easy to mix and match, meaning more timeless pieces. I’ve been learning that quality over quantity will save me more money in the long run.
What I love about this Lila top from Kay Celine is that it can be worn in a multitude of ways. It’s fashion forward without being bogged down by a trend that might come and go, in fact her whole line follows this practical formula which makes it a great fit for busy gals like me. All the pieces I have tried so far are comfortable yet stylish, practical for my line of work and flattering. What more could you want from your clothes! You know that feeling at the end of a long day where all you want to do is to get out of your bra as soon as possible? Well I’m generally like that with all of my clothes however I ended up wearing this sweater for a WHOLE DAY let me repeat that… WHOLE DAY, I actually lounged around in it for a bit while binge watching Netflix. You’ll see it on the blog soon!
Today’s outfit is business casual, it’s a little flirty yet modest making it perfect for brunch, or a dinner date! Take this look from day to night by losing the jacket and belt. This flowy top has become one of my favorites for layering. It has so much dimension to it and for my lazy fashionistas, yes it looks great with leggings I’ve already worn it many, many times. Layer with a tank for business during the day or transition with a cute strappy bralette and you’re good to go!
If color and patterns are your thing, there are lots of options for you to pick from, to include a gorgeous blush pink and flirty red. Use JODIKAY10 for 10% off your purchase if you’ve fallen in love… with this top and want to take it out for dinner this Sunday.

Love this outfit so much! I am not one for over the top girlyness, especially for Valentine’s, so I love the black and white look. Gorgeous!
