Natural Hair Bun

Natural hair bun tutorial
June 21st will mark my third year of being natural. It has been such an amazing journey! As many of you know I’ve been documenting my progress on my YouTube channel with natural hair tips and routines for hair growth and health. If you could pop on over to my YouTube to subscribe that would mean the world to me! It’s free after all and I post fashion and lifestyle videos that I don’t always post on my blog.

I can’t believe how much my hair has grown over the years! As I’ve been transitioning into more of a plant based lifestyle (ah fine I’ll finally say it) I’ve realised that the chemicals we put into our body and on our hair is what causes illness, fatigue, lack of growth and for lack of a better word makes it all feel and look blah. Using products such as Function of Beauty as Kierra will talk about on her blog [Naturally Far Out] is such a great way to go when looking for clean products to help your hair flourish.

Did I mention this is a collaboration with the wonderful Kierra! Kierra is a fashion and adventure blogger over at Naturally Far Out! We became blog friends when I accidentally tagged her on my natural hair photos on Instagram. >>Sorry about that Kierra! I’m so glad we found each other though because she has hair just like mine!  So naturally (no pun intended) we decided to do a collab to show other naturals out there how to style their natural hair and what products are safe for a curly girl.

I’ve also linked some hair care products below that I like to use for de tangling and moisturizing my curly hair down below! Thank you so much for reading and watching! The two hairstyles will work with any texture of hair, if your hair falls more on the straight side a little or a lot of hairspray will do the trick! Head on over to Kierra’s blog to read all about this amazing product here.

  1. I love that we are both wearing this soft purple and I loved doing this fun collaboration. The video turned out perfect and I loved the way you did the tutorial. So cute and unique.

    • Thank you so much! 🙂 I am too, unique cuts are always so fun! Haha it requires so much moisture I’m lazy and bun it from time to time. 🙂 xo

  2. First off, how cool is that, that you and Kierra connected after you accidentally tagging her?! I couldn’t agree more, what we put in and on our bodies is extremely important, especially since all those chemicals are absorbed into our pores and go directly into our bloodstreams! I’ve been eating (mostly) a plant based diet for a couple of years now and noticed a huge difference in my overall health, my hair being one of them. I just recently switched to a complete all natural makeup and skin care routine. I was using products that I believed were natural and good for the skin, but it turned out they weren’t entirely and I was breaking out in such bad acne as a result, so it really does make all the difference! Thanks so much for sharing, beautiful, and I hope you’re having the most amazing week so far!
